Engorgement

Engorgement occurs when the breasts overfill with milk, blood, and fluids; this causes your breasts to feel overfull, to become stiff and sore. Your nipples may seem flat, which might make it difficult for your baby to latch. Breast engorgement usually occurs if the baby is not removing milk sufficiently.
